The SALT Bible College Statement of faith

We believe: God is one being who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. God is Sovereign, the Creator, and the Sustainer of all things. The Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, a revelation of His will, inerrant in their original writings, the infallible authority of Christian faith and life. Jesus Christ is the eternal and only begotten Son of God, conceived by the Holy Ghost and born of the Virgin Mary, truly God and truly man. Through Christ’s life, atoning death and resurrection, He accomplished the work of salvation. He ascended into heaven and is now at the right hand of the Father as our High Priest and Advocate. The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, and in this age, to convict men of sin, to regenerate the believing sinner and to indwell, guide, instruct and empower the believer to Godly living. Man was created in the image of God, but sinned in Adam and fell with him in his first transgression. He is utterly and helplessly lost except he be restored by the sole regenerating grace of the Holy Spirit and the cleansing blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. The shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe and only such as receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit, and thus become children of God. The Body of Christ is composed of all past and present, who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and united together under Christ our Head. The personal and imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ in glory and triumph for the final judgement of believers and unbelievers and the consummation of His kingdom has a vital bearing on the believer’s life and service. Jesus Christ has sent forth those whom He saved into the world even as He was sent forth of His Father into the world. The Commission to the believer by the Lord Jesus Christ is to make Him known to the world.
